This trip starts in the vibrant bustling capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. We then travel by overland to Siem Reap, passing through Cambodia’s beautiful landscape to discover peaceful villages and daily life along the way.
Arrive at Phnom Penh International airport where you will be met by your tour guide and driver and transferred to your hotel.
After check in, cyclo tour of the city, including the Independence Monument, the Royal Palace, and the Silver Pagoda, National Museum and lunch at local Restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Wat Phnom and the day ends at Central Market for shopping. Overnight in Phnom Penh
Today, you will hear the story of the Genocide Museum, known as Tuol Sleng Museum, and Choeung Ek Killing Fields. Return to hotel after lunch for afternoon break. The rest of the day is free for your own leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Today, overland drive to Kompong Thom, stop in Skuon to taste Cambodian’s more exotic culinary delights: the deep-fried tarantulas, crickets and beetles. Visit Sambor Prei Kuk with its 100 temples dating from the Pre-Angkorian period. Next, stop at the ancient Naga Bridge (Spean Prapteus). This trip passes through Cambodia’s beautiful landscapes so you can discover the daily life along the way. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast at hotel, we travel to the great capital of Angkor Thom, South Gate, the magnificent temple of Bayon, Baphoun, Royal Enclosure, Phimean Akas, Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of the Leper King.
Visit the jungle temple Ta Prohm, one of the most fabulous temples in the area. The temple is overgrown by vegetation with gigantic tree roots and creepers covering the temple towers.
In the afternoon, visit one of the modern seven wonders of the world Angkor Wat, the most famous and the best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. Then view sunset from the hilltop of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Today, we drive through the typical Khmer countryside to the exquisite Banteay Srei, the temple made of pinkish sandstone with delicate carvings. On the way back to hotel, make a stop at a few local communities to learn how they produce rice products, palm sugar and other goods. Visit Banteay Samre and Pre Rup. Return to your hotel for midday break.
We head out to Grand Circuit in the afternoon, to visit other amazing temples with different architectural styles such as Preah Khan, Neak Pean, an island temple with five square ponds set right middle of the last Baray, East Mebon and enjoy a drink at sunset at Angkor Wat moat. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, drive to the Great Tonle Sap Lake and take a boat trip to explore the floating villages. On the way back, visit Artisans d’ Angkor workshop or additional shopping at local markets. The trip ends after transferring back to airport for flight departure.
